Our program provides charitable assistance to individuals with Cerebral Palsy by directly purchasing medically prescribed orthopedic and therapeutic devices and therapies not covered by insurance.
The Footsteps of WNY “Capes for Kids” program sends personalized handmade superhero capes to children with Cerebral Palsy who have had surgery or are doing physical or occupational therapy.
Since 2013, the runners of Team Footsteps have raised over $50,000, which has provided over 250 weeks of therapy and $30,000 in assistive technology for those in need.
When we are able provide a person with the assistive technology supports or therapy they need the diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy is no longer a barrier to learning, friendships, employment, self-sufficiency,self determination, freedom, interdependence, or anything else.
