Capes For Kids Program

The  Footsteps of WNY “Capes for Kids” program sends personalized handmade  superhero capes to children with Cerebral Palsy who have had surgery or  are doing physical or occupational therapy.

Our  hope is that the cape encourages our new hero and their parents to  continue in their efforts to meet daily challenges with strength and a  smile because we all know that heroes come in all sizes and each have  their own special powers and abilities.

Every cape is crafted and hand-stitched by volunteers using donated supplies.

The  capes are also personalized with the child's name or first initial on  the back. Each of our “Superhero Kits” is specially packaged and comes  with a note of encouragement for the child and parents.
